On February 2, 2018 the «Association for a Swiss Olympic and Paralympic Candidacy» admitted new members from city, cantonal and federal governments.
The «Association for a Swiss Olympic and Paralympic Candidacy» unites stakeholders from the Federal Government, Cantons of Wallis, Bern, Freiburg and Obwalden, Waadt, the City of Sion, and Swiss Olympic and Paralympic Committee. With Jürg Stahl as its President, and Thomas Gurtner as its Director, the newly founded association will work on further developing the Swiss application file over the next months, promoting it nationally and internationally, and preparing the structure for the Games and their legacy.
Further contributors to a successful candidacy can become members of the association.
