THE STORY BEHIND qiip's background is predominately in architecture and project management. Shortly after the founder entered into the event industry, he visited the locked down and secured area of a three year old Olympic Park and was shocked about the legacy left behind. After this experience he was convinced that a more effective approach must be achievable by introducing a thoughtful environmental event-planning concept.
AVOIDING WHITE ELEPHANTS The main mission is to avoid the so-called «white elephant» syndrome and the corresponding massive financial hangover, which has seen many major international events result in financial loss for the host city or organization. The team of qiip carries out its mission with a smart design approach that meets the needs of the present while embracing future requirements through a flexible design suiting the needs of future generations.

The team became international expert konwledge regarding the topic of sustainable legacy planning for international major events and project management of interdisciplinary design and project teams.
